When it comes to using clonidine for anxiety, dosage and administration are critical factors that can significantly impact its effectiveness and safety. While clonidine is not yet FDA-approved specifically for anxiety disorders, some healthcare providers may prescribe it off-label for this purpose. Sometimes we also add situational anxiety medications like gabapentin, clonidine or trazodone.
