My husband uses CBD &THC at bedtime and it has really helped him sleep. He usually has pain from neuropathy that keeps him awake but this combination keeps him pain free. I use it during the day as I take 300mg of gabapentin at bedtime and I read you can't take CBD & THC with it. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. I give ElleVet CBD to my dog daily for anxiety because trazodone, gabapentin, and even Xanax all have really noticeable negative side effects for my dog. I have to admit to being a huge skeptic regarding CBD and I can't say I've seen an impact of the daily dose. Would anyone be willing to share their experiences with using either CBG or CBD oil (state which and if without THC) and Gabapentin. I am interested to know if the supplemental use of that helped you not have to increase your dose of Gabapentin or improved the effectiveness. Has anybody have any experience using gabapentin and cbd oil, edibles or smoking weed. Is it better or worse with your condition? I have some form of transverse mielitis. I read that there is an interaction between CBD and Gabapentin due to CBD's effect on the cytochrome p-450 enzyme (which I don't fully understand). I was hoping someone could Dumb this down and explain what to expect from the interaction. I have never been directed to taper off when used in the short term. Frequently gabapentin is given to dog cancer patients as part of palliative care. My last dog had bone cancer and was safely taking CBD oil and gabapentin (amongst other things). It did not cause sedation for him, but your dog maybe more sensitive to either or both. Good luck! Was the CBD amplifying the gabapentin or the gabapentin amplifying the CBD? Both trazadone and gabapentin made him freak out on the “come up” and then he would be lethargic for days afterward, even on small doses. We started giving him CBD treats before bed time and it has truly been a miracle drug. The sundowning completely stopped and he is alert and peppy in the morning. Neurontin (gabapentin) is not known to interact with CBD (cannabidiol) oil.
