Neurontin belongs to a group of medicines used to treat epilepsy and peripheral neuropathic pain (long lasting pain caused by damage to the nerves). The active ingredient in Neurontin is gabapentin. Each hard gelatin capsule with yellow opaque cap and body and white-to-off-white powder fill, imprinted "APO 300", contains 300 mg of gabapentin. Nonmedicinal ingredients: magnesium stearate, sodium croscarmellose, and talc; capsule shell: edible blue ink, gelatin, silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulphate, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide.
