I used it for a while it helped. My side effects were typical. Low mood and loss of energy, were the most noticeable. The pain from prostatitis went away for a while I was on gaba. When I dropped from 300 to 200 I didn't have this dizziness. I had a slight headache for about a week. And since after that week I felt pretty decent I decided to drop. I tried taking it twice, but the side effects were too much, i.e., dizziness and balance problems. Of course, I don't respond to drugs the way I'm supposed to Have you tried vestibular exercises. I’ve been taking Gabapentin 300 mg/3x/day for the last 30 days and it’s seemed to help with my post surgery sciatic pain. I haven’t felt dizziness really maybe because of the pain but yeah between the 975 mg of ibuprofen, 300 mg of Gabapentin, and 800 mg of acetaminophen 3x a day maybe I’ve become numb to the side effects the last 30 days but it’s seemed to help with the pain I was on gabapentin for a year, and the dizziness only became worse for me. I ultimately had to quit it. I slowly got on a larger a larger dose. Had all sorts of weird side effects I only noticed in retrospect. Anyone have lightheaded/dizziness begin after being on gabapentin for a couple of months? Even more a feeling of being under the influence of alcohol during the day? On 900mg daily - 300 3x daily. Gabapentin generally causes dizziness/drowsiness when you first start it, which is why it is prescribed at bedtime at first. It should go away with time. Since you mentioned your doctor said you could increase the dose of you tolerate it, I would recommend it after a week or so unless you are still having significant dizziness. Generally, it depends on how long you been taking the drug, if you taper slowly by decreasing a single dose every 2- 3rd day out of that 900 to almost 100, you should be almost fine. Then, I ran out by accident so I ended up stopping cold turkey and barely had any side effects (mild headache for a day or two that responded to otc pain meds) 🤷♀️
