Gabapentin is helpful to some people with specific pain problems as many in the comments are suggesting. However if you are getting TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) to treat depression and/or anxiety keep in mind gabapentin can actually reduce the efficacy of the treatment. Gabapentin and some drugs of abuse are likely to be incompatible, even dangerous. I havent checked for an interaction between gabapentin and cocaine, but Im sure there are drug they test for that would not be wise to mix with gabapentinoids. Although Gabs are fairly weak and you gain very quick tolerance to them. I recommend a doctor. They can get you on a benzo for you. Most likely ativan or Kpins. Make sure to check drug interactions with the ones your already on. gabapentin reacts with a lot of other drugs in a negative way. I've been on Gabapentin for peripheral neuropathy for 6 years now. I have numbness in the soles of both feet, yet I describe my sensations without Gaba as random pain in spots of my feet as though I'm walking on rocks, and I would get electric jolts in my feet as I tried to sleep. Those sensations have lessened greatly over the years on the drug. I know some people do very well on gabapentin (Neurontin), but many do not. Doctors tend to prescribe it freely, thanks to Big Pharma's sales force and their fabulous promotions, but the reality is that it's not a cure-all for everyone. In fact, I cant think of a single negative. It’s euphoric, relaxing, helps my anxiety, functional, no hangover, has an afterglow, and almost has a psychedelic touch to it. We can all agree (including doctors and scientists) that GABApentin somehow stimulates GABA. It can be used to treat GHB withdrawal, a drug that directly binds to the GABA receptor. When a drug directly relieves the withdrawal symptoms from another drug, they typically work the same. I guess some states have made it illegal now though. However I took a drug test at a pain clinic a couple months ago and it was the first visit so they sent it to the labs. Gabapentin did show up on the papers they gave me so I think they are starting to add it onto the list of additional drugs to check routinely (on the lab tests not the stick). Let me offer my advice as I have been using gabapentin on and off for over a decade. My method almost always leaves me with a high resembling a cross between a drug that releases dopamine, a mild euphoriant such as mdea, and a tiny dose of phenibut or moderate dose of baclofen.
