Why does gabapentin cause food cravings? While the exact mechanisms are not fully understood, some experts believe that gabapentin may indirectly affect the brain’s reward and pleasure centers, leading to an increased desire for certain foods. Do not take too much Gabapentin. Doctors prescribe too much for some reason. Personally I would start with 1/4 capsule meaning 150mg. My food cravings dissapeared at 300mg. There is slight fuzziness so I would reccomend taking less and work your way up. Also it lasts all day. I'm impressed with this drug.
