Gabapentin is a medication that treats nerve pain by calming overactive nerves in your body. It may also prevent and control seizures in people with epilepsy. You can take this medication by mouth with a glass of water. That's how my pain started in the very beginning, tingling gums and tooth ache with pain in my lower jaw. Then I had loads of unnecessary dental work done and it spread up my face. I haven't heard of gabapentin causing gum pain itself but if it's the only thing that could be causing it then tell your doctor. Only days I have to go into work n be on my feet as a precaution. Then only if pain starts. I don’t know what I’m afraid of more, the pain or taking Gabapentin.
