Yes, I've had a different experience on every manufacturer of gabapentin, and I've probably had six different ones over the years. Teva works best for me for sleep and anxiety. I've had some versions that made me seriously ill and depressed. From my experience sunrise is #1 & Teva #2. Obviously meds effect ppl differently so you could think one of these was the worst. Not sure if Walgreens pharmacy will take these back for the other brand. The FDA allows up to +/- 20% of active ingredients in generics. They hold branded to a much higher standard of +/-0.2%. I take 300mg 3x's a day, but when I took a different manufacturers 300mg pill today, it caused anxiety and tightness in my muscles. It slowly faded as I took the next dose from the original manufacturer. Gabapentin is really in a class of its own.. I'd call it a disbenzopiate haha. It has the warmth and optimism that you get from opiates with a nice anxiolytic effect on par with Xanax. That's great and all but the real reason I use Gabapentin is for the dissociative effects. Gabapentin, also known by the brand name Neurontin, is an anticonvulsant medication primarily used to treat seizures and manage neuropathic pain. It is a synthetic medication that works by regulating certain neurotransmitters in the brain. What is Gabapentin? Gabapentin is helpful to some people with specific pain problems as many in the comments are suggesting. However if you are getting TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) to treat depression and/or anxiety keep in mind gabapentin can actually reduce the efficacy of the treatment. My pharmacy just gave me gabapentin from a different manufacturer. It previously was Amneal, now it’s made by Cipla. I take 1800 mg per day for some pretty severe nerve pain issues.
