Gabapentin is helpful to some people with specific pain problems as many in the comments are suggesting. However if you are getting TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) to treat depression and/or anxiety keep in mind gabapentin can actually reduce the efficacy of the treatment. Ever since I got below 100, I have had intense nausea and stomach pain, as well as some rebound pain in my spine (that pain was why I started it). Have other people experienced this nausea? How did you treat it, and how did it resolve (hopefully it did resolve) - any response welcome. Wow, that is a pretty high dose for a long time! Well, to be fair, gabapentin does its job pretty well, especially if you have damaged nerves/neurological conditions. Pregabalin (lyrica) is a much "cleaner" version of Gabapentin and causes far fewer side effects. I know tons of people that take one or the other and have no problems at all. I do think that adverse side effects are i never had any nausea from gabapentin. am up to 900 mg / day in 3 doses. would like to go higher but doc is reluctant. my only complaint is if i take it in the morning i get incredibly lazy - never wake completely. so i try to delay the first dose til noon. These three drugs do not interact with one another, but could potentially interact with other drugs you may be taking. Check with your local pharmacist for additional information. Now if it were pain meds like opiates he may be a little more apprehensive to prescribe more but if you have a history of nausea in your chart you should be fine just don't expect him to write you a bunch extra of those but it's well known that opiates induce nausea gabapentin too but to a lesser extent and really if you can eat a small
