In the spirit of bringing some positivity to light, if you take gabapentin and have found success with it, can you please share your story— how much (what dosage) do you take? For how long have you been taking it? And for what condition? (Neuropathy, anxiety, depression, etc.) Thank you. I recently tried Gabapentin and it helps with anxiety. I take gabapentin for nerve issues as I have multiple sclerosis. I take 300mg 4x a day and I couldn't live without it. It suppresses my ms symptoms by 90% and as a cherry on top it does actually really help anxiety. Mirtazapine also seems to help a good amount. I'm taking .5mg of clonazepam, 1200mg of gabapentin spread throughout the day, and 15mg of mirtazapine. Mirtazapine and 250mg of vitamin b6 early in the morning, gabapentin 3x a day, and the clonazepam I take half in the day and half late night. Yes, my surgeries were successful. I had a large herniation causing nerve compression of C6/C7 which was causing balance issues. I had a decompression and a disk replacement. This was a complete success. No more issues with my balance. I also had a lumbar spinal fusion, which I feel was also successful. Anticipating the rebound from my unconventional helper meds + bad restless legs etc called QuickMD last night and got a script of gabapentin. 300mg 3x per day for 2 weeks. I told him I just want 1 week worth, but he said 300mg is a small dose, so 2 weeks allows some dosage wiggle room. Gabapentin is a medication that you can take a metric buttload of. You can take like 3000-4000mg and that’s an okay dose. So basically, take as much as you need to. 16 votes, 52 comments. true. I too am coming off of gabapentin. I was first prescribed 100 mg; then 300 mg; then 600 mg & 900 mg, but decreased to 300 mg again only after a few months of being in 900 mg. Gabapentin is really effective medication which is used to treat seizures disease. I also had serious nerve pain, then I consult about this problem to my doctor. Now my nerve pain is permanently gone. Gabapentin, Kratom, and weed were the miracle mixture for me. Stagger the gabapentin by taking one, 300mg capsule every half hour to 45min. I’d say so that with ~900 to 1200mg to see where you need it for relief. The only downside is it’ll take around an hour plus to kick in because gabapentin is absorbed in the intestines. My doctor just prescribed me Gabapentin 100mg 3x per day for anxiety. She said she’s had much success with patients who can’t use benzos. And the online reviews are very positive. My first experience with gabapentin was to treat an unknown vomiting issue. It didn’t help much there, and made me manic. I discontinued. My second time, I had already fixed the vomiting issue, but was prescribed it off label for panic attacks. It helped a ton, but if I took it at night, it made me too wired to go to sleep. At the end of October 2021, I began taking Gabapentin 300 mg once a day. This was as the doctor had prescribed, so I did not think anything of it. The medication at this low dosage did not seem to be helping me, so after two months, I decided to up my dose to 300 mg twice a day after speaking with my new neurologist. My buddy gave me some Gabapentin. I took the Gabapentin and a couple hydr0 10s. I got a good night sleep and woke up feeling pretty good. I was able to hang out on the boat and socialize with family. Gabapentin performs somewhat better for trauma associated tinnitus. I know some people on TT, like @just1morething , have used it with Klonapin with various degrees of success. Like most tinnitus drugs, you have to try it for yourself.
