Given gabapentin’s effectiveness for acute alcohol withdrawal problems, a research team at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) explored whether AUD patients who exhibit more severe withdrawal symptoms might experience greater improvements with gabapentin than those who experience fewer symptoms.
