I took these two together and apart and personally only had any success with the gabapentin, not the amitriptyline. But I have some genetic weirdness going on that makes it so I don't metabolize most medications correctly, and have a high tolerance to stuff in general so I'm at like 600-1000mg of gabapentin depending on how bad I'm flaring, but will probably have to go up to 1200mg. Has anyone been diagnosed with central sensitization? If so, were you prescribed topical gabapentin to use vaginally? I his was the most recent possible diagnosis I have been given. I was prescribed topical gabapentin, which my insurance does not cover. I’m just curious what other’s experience has been with this. Thank you in advance. Started taking daily Zyrtec and that combined with gabapentin cream kept things pretty well controlled. Hi all, My doctor prescribed me topical gabapentin/baclofen/lidocaine cream. I insert it intravaginally. I used it for a few days and noticed that when the lidocaine wore off, my pain was much more generalized and I was itching more too.
