I'm still doing the Gabapentin as well, albeit at a lower dose now (he's an 8lbs cat and was on 125mg twice a day and still would howl all night), and the two combined have given me 3 nights of sound sleep in a row, with only the occasional vocalization (he's always been a talker, but now I can just call his name and he settles down. Phew!) Generally, for pain management, the typical dosage range is 1.5 to 5 mg per pound every 12 hours. This means a 10-pound cat could receive between 15 to 50mg of gabapentin, twice daily. Dude, the dosage for cats 2.5--5mg per pound bodyweight, or 5--10mg per kg. Unless you have a lion or puma, 200mg is too much.
