The most common gabapentin (Neurontin) side effects are dizziness and fatigue. These side effects may improve over time. Gabapentin is lipophilic, so either take it with an unsaturated fat like Olive Oil or even simply mix with an unsaturated fat, then consume it. Once binded to fat, it won't really taste bitter, so you can mix with olive/fish oil, set 5 mins at room temp, and consume. Yes. I experience loss of appetite while taking Gabapentin. As soon as I saw stomach pain, no sleep, no hunger or thirst, the sweating is FUCKED, I was vomiting, as someone stated below it felt like they had a stomach bug or something and I did also until I went back up to 150mg a day instead of 125mg. Studies have shown that a small number of people taking gabapentin, a drug used to treat epilepsy and postherpetic neuralgia, experienced weight gain. People who do gain weight may gain about 5 pounds after 6 weeks of use. My dog takes clonidine and gabapentin before vet visits. She is not usually a hugely food-motivated dog. She'll happily eat high value treats, but at home goes through phases of being indifferent to her regular kibble and often leaves some behind in the bowl after meals.
