Gabapentin (Gralise, Gralise 30-Day Starter Pack, and Neuraptine) is an anti-seizure (anticonvulsant) medication used to treat seizure disorders and postherpetic neuralgia. Gabapentin for dogs: Uses, dosage and side effects Gabapentin is used for dogs and is commonly prescribed by veterinarians to treat seizures, pain, and anxiety in dogs. It has a low risk of side effects. Some of these individuals were taking higher than recommended doses of gabapentin for unapproved uses. Gabapentin, sold under the brand name Neurontin among others, is an anticonvulsant medication primarily used to treat neuropathic pain and also for partial seizures [10][7] of epilepsy. It is a commonly used medication for the treatment of neuropathic pain caused by diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and central pain. [11] . Renal clearance (CLr) and CLr adjusted for body surface area also declined with age; however, the decline in the renal clearance of gabapentin with age can largely be explained by the decline in renal function [see Dosage and Administration (2.4) and Use inSpecific Populations (8.5)]. Gabapentin (Neurontin, Gralise, Horizant) is a medicine used to treat partial seizures, nerve pain from shingles and restless leg syndrome.
