I take neurontin & it maybe makes me a bit foggy & difficulty with nouns but pain makes me worse at those things. I think it has made my short term memory a bit worse (but a note pad certainly helps that). For me, the neurontin made the pain go from a hypersensitivity to touch from my knees to my shoulder to just the actual problem in my SI joint. I put the interaction for both Gabapentin and Suboxone and Gabapentin with Subutex to show it's the same warning, dealing with the Buprenorphine component. While this is a real risk to consider, it's one that requires more consideration when mixing Buprenorphine with something more potent that's depressing (think benzodiazepines). Hi all, My Gapanetin has been upped from 300mg to 600mg a day. I had no side effects when in 300mg but tiredness/brain fog. However, since taking 200mg at a time I get a tingly feeling on my left side of face, where my neural damage is located. Anyone get tingling and severe numbness in certain body parts/areas such as the legs and arms on gabapentin? Yes in my legs and hands. Two months off, it’s still there but not as bad. I take gabapentin for peripheral neuropathy, so I feel that way in hands and feet without the medication. I got this. Stop immediately that’s signs of neuropathy. I've been on Gabapentin for peripheral neuropathy for 6 years now. I have numbness in the soles of both feet, yet I describe my sensations without Gaba as random pain in spots of my feet as though I'm walking on rocks, and I would get electric jolts in my feet as I tried to sleep. Gabapentin is made for nerve pain, or at least that's why I've taken so much of it in the last 30 years. First you need to know what the tingling stems from and if it's determined it is or there's a high likely hood that it is a nerve problem, then yes Gabapentin is your medication. The tingling has become very noticeable and it's in my arms, legs, hands, feet, etc. I've been thinking maybe something more concerning is wrong with me because I've been on Gabapentin and hadn't experienced that paresthesia until now. My foot/ lower leg feels tingly, I’ll have random moments of being hit by feeling foggy and completely wiped out and unable to focus, and I’m so tired and sleeping so much. It’s helping with the pain but I feel so weird on the meds- does anyone else get like this? I know that gabapentin is often used for folks trying to get off Phenibut. It his some of the same GABA receptors and people often get pins and needles from too much, or too little (withdrawal) from phenibut. The first time I took gabapentin for sciatic pain it did nothing and I could barely get out of bed the next day. Five years or so later, another bout of sciatica, tried gabapentin again. It helped quite a bit with pain and also helped me fall asleep. No or not much hangover feeling in the morning. So mine feel like quick sharp stabs of pain, like you just got nailed with an airsoft gun. The buzzing is generally called tingling. I also get traveling pain down the whole nerve sometimes and have a static like sensation. Also the spasms you are talking about sound like fasciculations. Like constant twitching and it happens after exertion for Tingling and tickling in feet, tingling in privates. And calf aching/pain. About a week into starting. Not sure if this is a normal experience. Never had these symptoms before, not taking for neuropathy. When I took Topomax I did have some tingling (much less) in feet sometimes, but went away after stopping and took for a week or less. I'm currently on gaba right now and my left leg has gone numb. It caused my numbness and tingling. It’s a known side effect. Yes. Gabapentin was the only thing that would do anything for my nerve pain (the burning, numbness, tingling) not even opiates would touch it. I took it for several years and had no issues stopping cold turkey and I have had to taper with a lot of other medications as I seem rather affected by whatever medications I'm taking. It took me literally I started taking gabapentin about 7 months ago. I have gradually increased my dose from 100 mg a day to 1500 mg. I can't say that it has decreased my pain at all. The burning/tingling sensation started after that first week. They tried a few different meds but the gabapentin was the one that finally relieved it. With the gabapentin the burning/tingling are gone and I’m totally 100% pain free. Reviews and ratings for Gabapentin when used in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy. 197 reviews submitted with a 6.3 average score. Welcome to /r/gabapentin, here we primarily discuss issues pertaining to the medical, prescribed use of Gabapentin, Lyrica and Phenibut, as well as other Gaba related drugs. This IS NOT the subreddit for discussion of how to get high or otherwise abuse GP. I swear by Gabapentin, and have been on the maximum dose for years now. You'll probably feel a little high, maybe unpleasantly so, the first week, but it passed pretty quickly for me as my body acclimated. In general, it sounds like most people who try Gabapentin either see a lot of relief or not much at all. Anyway, starting thyroid meds today, and taking Gabapentin for some relief from the jolts of pain and achy feet. Hoping in a few weeks I’ll feel like a new person! Haha.
