I have primary provoked vestibulodynia and just got done with ramping up on gabapentin for 9 weeks (max dose was 2400mg). It didn't help my pain, so I'm now ramping down. Gabapentin helped my pain I took 3 pills which were 300 mg 3 each per day . It’s definitely can took a weeks /a month to work and my pain went away so I stopped taking it. Now I only take during flare ups.
