Horizant is a prescription medication that combines gabapentin with an extended-release formulation of gabapentin, making it a convenient option for those who need to manage RLS and anxiety. However, Horizant can cause a range of side effects, including **dizziness**, **headaches**, and **fatigue**. The main differences between Lyrica and gabapentin are: Lyrica is a brand name for pregabalin. Gabapentin is a generic name - brands of gabapentin include Neurontin, Gralise, and Horizant. Gabapentin is not the same as pregabalin, even though they both belong to the same class of medicine, called gabapentinoids, and work similarly HORIZANT is not the same medicine as gabapentin [for example, NEURONTIN® (gabapentin) and GRALISE® (gabapentin)]. HORIZANT should not be used in their place. Do not take these or other gabapentin products while taking HORIZANT. Horizant is a brand-name version of gabapentin, which is also known as Neurontin, and is used to treat patients with moderate to severe Restless Leg Syndrome, RLS and postherpetic neuralgia.
