Each gabapentin tablet contains 600 mg or 800 mg of gabapentin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: poloxamer 407, mannitol, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, talc, copovidone, crospovidone, colloidal silicon dioxide and coating agent contains hypromellose, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol and talc. Each gabapentin tablet intended for oral administration contains 300 mg or 600 mg of gabapentin. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: copovidone, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyethylene oxide, povidone, talc and titanium dioxide. A third study compared gabapentin 900 mg/day, in three divided doses (N=111), and placebo (N=109). An additional gabapentin 1,200 mg/day dosage group (N=52) provided dose-response data. A statistically significant difference in responder rate was seen in the gabapentin 900 mg/day group (22%) compared to that in the placebo group (10%). Gabapentin tablets, USP are supplied as follows: 600 mg tablets: White colored film coated, Oval Shaped, biconvex tablets de-bossed with ‘T’ on the left side of the bisect and ‘1’ on the right side of the bisect on one side and bisect on other side; supplied in Bottles of 100: NDC 31722-166-01. Bottles of 500: NDC 31722-166-05 If you are directed to break the 600 or 800 mg tablets in half as part of your dose, the extra half tablet should be used for the next dose. If you have not used the extra half tablet within 28 days, it should be thrown away. A special MedGuide will be given to you by the pharmacist with each prescription and refill. Gabapentin is used with other medications to prevent and control seizures. It is also used to relieve nerve pain following shingles (a painful rash due to herpes zoster infection) in adults. Gabapentin is known as an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug. GRALISE is supplied as tablets containing 300 mg or 600 mg of gabapentin. GRALISE tablets swell in gastric fluid and gradually release gabapentin. Each 300 mg tablet contains the inactive ingredients copovidone, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene oxide, and Opadry® II white. Gabapentin is used to help control partial seizures (convulsions) in the treatment of epilepsy. This medicine cannot cure epilepsy and will only work to control seizures for as long as you continue to take it. Gabapentin is also used to manage a condition called postherpetic neuralgia, which is pain that occurs after shingles. Gabapentin (Neurontin, Gralise, Horizant) is a medicine used to treat partial seizures, nerve pain from shingles and restless leg syndrome. It works on the chemical messengers in your brain and nerves. Gabapentin is from a group of medicines called anticonvulsants. Neurontin is used in adults to treat neuropathic pain (nerve pain) caused by herpes virus or shingles (herpes zoster).
