Gabapentin for Anxiety Gabapentin’s Effect on Anxiety Disorders. Anxiety can be debilitating and have a significant impact on our daily lives. Gabapentin has shown promise in reducing anxiety symptoms in various conditions, including generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder. Although evidence is limited, some studies show gabapentin can help with anxiety symptoms.
