I've heard it's dangerous mixing gabapentin with alcohol. I've a bottles dxm mirtazapine. "The oral bioavailability of gabapentin is approximately 80% at 100 mg administered three times daily once every 8 hours, but decreases to 60% at 300 mg, 47% at 400 mg, 34% at 800 mg, 33% at 1,200 mg, and 27% at 1,600 mg, all with the same dosing schedule. Eventually the gabapentin can’t shut up that internal voice well enough, and I go change the way I feel. I took it for several months before switching to different medication. No issues with addiction. I did however drink consistently throughout despite trying to quit. But alcohol withdrawal definitely can last. Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous and even deadly without the right treatment, especially if you’ve been drinking heavily over a long period of time. Symptoms of alcohol withdrawal include anxiety, tremors, sweating, and nausea. My dose is two 600mg tablets a day for a total of 1200mg in a 24-hour period. After drinking 10-15 alcohol drinks a day for 40 years, within a week I quit and had no side effects from withdrawal - plus the anxiety went away. I do NOT crave alcohol Does anyone else notice a substantial decrease in drunkenness when taking gabapentin? I tend to drink a lot, but when I'm on gabapentin I do not get as drunk. I probably drink less than I would, but I seem to be far more present in the moment. I also wake up without a hangover.
