After taking Gabapentin (300mg, 3xs a day) for 10-yrs, I noticed increased tremors in my left side neck, right arm and left leg (like a z pattern). A nurse told me it's essential tremors, but I said it's from the Gabapentin. I continued to take it because having less pain was more important. Like topiramate, gabapentin (sold as a generic and under the brand name Neurontin) is typically prescribed off-label if primidone and/or propranolol don’t work adequately for essential tremor. Some evidence supports gabapentin for reducing hand tremors .
